Tom Higbie won the only race for a seat on the Hancock County Agricultural Society board, also known as the fair board, this week.
Higbie outpolled Charlie Beagle for an at-large seat on the board. The race was voted on Monday by members of the Agricultural Society.
Seven other candidates for the fair board were unopposed Monday.
No one ran for one of three Findlay seats on the fair board, and there was no candidate for the Biglick Township seat on the board. Those vacancies will be filled by the fair board. Applicants will be sought for the open seats.
There are 26 seats on the fair board. About one-third of them are normally up for election each year.
