The University of Findlay invites the community to its Arbor Day celebration at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Cory Street Mall near the gazebo.

The event will feature a hackberry tree planting. Three other tree saplings, a tulip poplar, redbud and sugar maple, will also be planted elsewhere on campus at a later date.

Co-sponsored by UF’s Tree Advisory Board and Student Government Association, the celebration will include free T-shirts and food.

Prior to the event, Findlay Green Campus Initiative will host an Instagram contest until Sunday. For details, go to @UFGreenCampus on Instagram.
