UF to perform 'The Servant of Two Masters'

FINDLAY — The University of Findlay Theatre Program will present "The Servant of Two Masters" from Nov. 14-17. From the University of Findlay's synopsis: "The Servant of Two Masters" follows the antics of a quick-witted servant who takes on two jobs — and two paychecks — without either of his masters knowing. The result is a lively mix of romance, swordplay, disguises and classic commedia dell'arte stock characters who capture the essentials of life: love, food and money. Audiences can expect a unique experience that includes a play-within-a-play, a cast of colorful characters and a feast for the senses with an impressive 27 plates of meatballs. The adaptation of the play, originally written by Carlo Goldoni, is presented by arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. Show times are 7:30 p.m. tonight, Friday and Saturday; and 2 p.m. on Sunday at the University of Findlay's Powell Grimm Theatre. Tickets cost $8 for the general public and are free for UF faculty, staff and students.
