Kenneth W. Dysert, 92, of Findlay, passed peacefully from this world to his heavenly home, April 7, 2014, at the Grand Court in Findlay surrounded by his family. Kenneth was born on November 13, 1921 to the late William and Flossie (Kester) Dysert in Hardin County. On February 11, 1944 he married the love of his life, Gloria M. Ennis, and they shared 69 years and seven children together.
Kenneth served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving in Panama. Kenneth retired from Streacker Tractor after many years of service. In early retirement he enjoyed spending time at Vista Villa and enjoyed many friends. He was a wonderful worker of wood and enjoyed making things each Christmas for his family. He, along with his family, built their home in Benton Ridge and enjoyed many happy years there.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Judy (Carl) Kisseberth, Marlene Kennedy both of Benton Ridge, Brenda Baird, Roger (Diana) Dysert, Keith (Genny) Dysert all of Rawson, and Connie (Steve) Rayle of Findlay; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary (Duane) Dearth. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria; son, Wayne A. Dysert; son-in-law, Keith Kennedy; and brothers and sisters, Garnet, Beatrice, Pearl, and Gerald.
Friends and family may visit on Thursday, from 2-7 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500).
Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brandon Kelly officiating. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at Benton Ridge Cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad performing full military rites.
Memorial contributions in Kenneth’s name may be made to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Benton Ridge, American Alzheimer’s Association, or the American Heart Association.
