During this marriage Judy lived in Ohio, California, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.
After the death of her husband, in 1999 in a mountain climbing accident, she moved back to Findlay to be close to long time friends and family. It was here she met and fell in love with David Furiate. They were married in Findlay on January 14, 2006.
Judy and David were faithful members of Trinity Baptist Church in Findlay. Combined, Judy and David have fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Judy was always happy with a big smile and was very enthusiastic to entertain family and friends at every opportunity to which was quite often. While in Pittsburgh, she was a volunteer for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, as a docent, presenting programs to local school.
Wherever she lived, Judy was active in the Community Bible Group serving as its district representative for the group. In Findlay she was a very faithful member of the Bible Study Fellowship (BSF).
Judy dearly loved the Lord Jesus Christ and spent time with Him in her devotions every morning.
She continued to keep in touch with her high school friends through a local book club at monthly luncheons.
Judy had a great love for her flower gardens and animals of all shapes and sizes. As a young girl she was fortunate to have a pony “Lady” although Lady wasn’t always a Lady. Through the years she had a menagerie of pets ranging from “Bandit” the ferret to “Daisy” her beloved Jack Russell for the last fifteen years. Judy always gave her pets plenty of freedom to roam, sniff and play outside.
Judy is survived by her husband, David Furiate of Findlay; her son, Samuel of Orange County, CA; her sisters, Beth Kleine of Williamsburg, VA and Janice Cook of Dallas, TX.
