kuhlmanOTTAWA — William T. Kuhlman, 89, of Ottawa, died 4:51 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born April 12, 1926, in Leipsic to the late Richard and Cecilia (Selhorst) Kuhlman. On August 19, 1953, he married Rita Jane Wolke and she died October 14, 2011.
Survivors include seven children: Deborah (Steve) Leopold of Glandorf, Dave (Joni) Kuhlman, Dean (Sherry) Kuhlman, Lynn (Bill) Morman, Bruce (Chris) Kuhlman, and Scott (Kendra) Kuhlman all of Ottawa, and Bob (Melissa) Kuhlman of Pandora; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren and one on the way; and a brother, Richard (Kay) Kuhlman of New Bavaria.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son; a sister: Ruth (Don) Griffith; and two brothers: Eugene (Viola) Kuhlman and infant brother Robert Kuhlman.
W.T. was the owner of W. T. Kuhlman Construction. He was a US Army Veteran during WWII, a charter and life member as well as Past Commander of the Ottawa VFW, life member of Ottawa American Legion and member of the Ottawa Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and the Northwest Ohio Steam Engine Association.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. A VFW service will begin 7:00 p.m., K of C rosary at 7:30 p.m. and scripture service at 7:50 p.m. all Monday evening at the funeral home.
