ratliff2CAREY — Orville Hamilton Ratliff, 66, of Carey, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 10:22 p.m. at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
He was born on January 26, 1950 in Johnson County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Orville and Barbara A. (May) Ratliff. He married Barbara A. McCoy and they divorced.
Hamilton is survived by two sons, Chris E. (Trudy) Ratliff, Carey and Robbie A. (Jessica) Ratliff, Upper Sandusky; three grandchildren, Raegan, Kobe and Madilyn Ratliff; three sisters, Annetta (Don) Shuster, Harpster, Kathy (Mike) Niederkohr, Cindy (Earl) Wenzinger, both of Carey.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Gaynell Mays.
Hamilton was a 1968 graduate of Carey High School. He retired from Atlas Crankshaft in 2009 after 41 years. He liked going to car shows and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a life member of the VFW #3759 in Carey and American Legion in Fostoria.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME, Carey.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, with Father Bryan Hajovsky OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Bloom Cemetery, Vanlue, with military graveside rites conducted by Carey Honor Guard.
