kuhlmancarolNEW RIEGEL — Carol J. Kuhlman, 76, of New Riegel, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
She was born May 14, 1940 in Tiffin to the late Blacque and Pearl (Shuff) Hoffman. She married Daniel L. Kuhlman October 1, 1960 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom and he died January 23, 2007.
Surviving are four children, Diane (Ray) Clouse, New Riegel; David (Cindy) Kuhlman, Elizabethtown, IN; Denise (Joe) Parker, McCutchenville; and Donna Kuhlman, New Riegel; eleven grandchildren, Andy (Lori), Tim (Danielle) and Jason Clouse, Amanda (Matt) Wertz, Daniel, Ben, JT and Rachel Kuhlman, Craig, Kyle and Ashley Parker; six great grandchildren and one expected in December; sisters, Marge Koerper, Tiffin; Mary Ann (Bruce) Eberly, Piqua; and Alice Lonsway, Findlay; and sister in law, Frances “Toots” Hoffman, Fostoria. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Hoffman.
Carol was a secretary for Lifetouch Photography for 28 years. She was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel and its Rosary-Altar Society. She was also a member of the blanket makers. She reupholstered furniture for many years and enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was a real people person who dearly loved her family and always looked forward to the grandchildren’s functions.
Visitation is Wednesday September 28, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at HOENING FUNERAL HOME 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church, New Riegel with Rev. Timothy Kummerer presiding. Family will gather at the church 10 a.m. Thursday morning. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will then take place at the New Riegel American Legion.
Memorials are suggested to Community Hospice Care, Tiffin, or the Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Foundations.
