straderroscoeARLINGTON — Roscoe E. “Rocky” Strader, age 69, of Arlington, Ohio died at 5:10 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay with his loving family by his side. He was born in Weston, West Virginia on January 31, 1947 to the late John H. and Hazel (Hitt) Strader. On October 8, 1966 he married Linda L. Blake in Weston, West Virginia. His love of family will be carried on by his three children, Linda (Rick) Malone of Mt. Blanchard; Roscoe (Jenn) Strader of Van Buren; and Lorretta (Bryan) Dority of Fremont; grandchildren, Antwilla (Nate) Davis, Quentin (Tiff) Strader, Nicole Strader, Scarlet Strader and Devon Strader; great-grandchildren that called him Pap, Gatlin, Briar, Caydence, Tory, Aubree, Letty, and Bentley; step grandchildren, Patience, Megan and Austin; step great-grandchildren: Carter, Zander and Remy. Rocky served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was a millwright by trade having retired from Hays Albion in Tiffin and Cooper Tire and Rubber Company in Findlay.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Arlington. The funeral service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation on Wednesday (2 p.m.). Pastor Nathaniel Hanover will officiate and interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Full military honors will be held at the cemetery by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. The family asks that memorials be given to the Maggie Bonham Medical Fund. Online condolences are welcomed at www.coldrencrates.com.
