Michael H. Odone, 63, of Carey, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 6:39pm Thursday, November 30, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo surrounded by his family.
Born February 5, 1954 in Tiffin, he was the son of the late Daniel and Patricia E. “Dolly” (Pieracini) Odone. A “confirmed bachelor,” Mike fell in love with and married Kimm (Rogers) Lunn on June 5, 2002 in Carey. Kimm survives in Carey.
He loved being the father of three sons: Ryan (Danielle) Lunn of Fostoria, Tyler (Kelsey) Lunn of Findlay, and Nicholas Lunn of Carey, five grandchildren: Kaylee, Angelina, Emma, Mylah, and Novah, four sisters: Deborah Hussey, Teresa (John) Wetzel, Annie (Ace) Puckett, and Mary Lou Baker all of Carey, a brother, Ron (Michele) Odone of Findlay, and many nieces and nephews.
A 1972 graduate of Carey High School, Mike was a construction foreman at Alvada Construction for the past 18 years.
Mike loved and lived for the Lord. He was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God in Carey for many years. He was the leader of TARGETT, a member of the worship team, and served on the leadership team, all within the church.
For relaxation, he enjoyed playing golf and was known as the master popcorn maker, a title he assumed with his dad’s passing.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME in Carey.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God in Carey, with Pastor Joe Turner officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carey.
