ARLINGTON — Clell “Ted” F. Lafferty, age 96, of Arlington, died at 11:25 p.m. on Monday, December 25, 2017 at Bridge Hospice in Findlay. He was born on November 21, 1921 in Arlington, Ohio to the late Ivan Leroy and Elizabeth J. (Riegle) Lafferty. He married Doris L. Betts on November 2, 1939 in Decatur, Indiana and she survives.
Also surviving are a son: Coldren L. (Judith) Lafferty of rural Findlay; daughter: Barbara Jo Martin of Martinsville, Indiana; five grandchildren: Garret Lafferty, Travis Lafferty, Sherry Holiday, Anna Marie Haley and Susan Payson. He also has seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death is a granddaughter, Betty Nunn, one great-grandchild and a brother, Robert Lafferty.
Ted was a mechanic, a farmer and enjoyed woodworking and colleting India Brass.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Arlington from 10 a.m. to noon. A celebration of his life will be held at the funeral home at the conclusion of the visitation at noon on Saturday, with Pastor Mike Spann officiating.
