Martin L. Ellerbrock, 62, of rural Findlay passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his residence. He was born on August 5, 1955 in Lima to Bernard and Donna Marie (Lehman) Ellerbrock and his father survives in Leipsic. On December 15, 1978 he married Theresa Nussbaum and she survives along with their three children; Luke (Christine) Ellerbrock of Magnetic Springs, OH, Matthew Ellerbrock of Fairlawn, OH and Marie (Cody) Sherman of Carey. Martin is also survived by two grandchildren, Garrett Martin Ellerbrock, Olivia Ann Sherman and another grandchild on the way.
Two brothers: David (Sue) Ellerbrock, Gerard (Amy) Ellerbrock, both of Leipsic; and two sisters: Ann (Kevin) Evers of Leipsic and Lois Tobe of Lima also survive.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Marie Ellerbrock; brother, Stephen Ellerbrock and brother-in-law Roy Tobe.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and was a member of the Board of Ohio Telecom Association. Martin formerly served as Treasurer of the Hancock County Chapter of the American Red Cross. He was fortunate and blessed to work for Pry CPA Services, the Sycamore Telephone Company and Benton Ridge Telephone Company. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and children and will forever be remembered for his unique sense of humor.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with a Scripture Service to begin at 4:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 617 W. Main Cross St. with Fr. Scott Woods officiating. A graveside service will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Leipsic at 3:00 p.m.
