Richard H. “Dick” Irwin, 82, of Findlay passed away on Thursday morning, March 29, 2018, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born on Sept. 3, 1935 to the late Carrol Irwin and Dorothy Railing. On Feb. 5, 1955 he married Diane L. Parish and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Roger (Jane) Irwin of Pittsburgh, PA and David (Connie) Irwin of Mt. Blanchard, OH; five grandchildren, Mark; Stephanie; Emily; Christopher and Chad; six great-grandchildren, Luke; Rachel; Gretchen; Lucy; Matthew and Zachary and a niece, Caryl Townsend. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Begin. Dick was a 1953 graduate of Findlay High School and retired from the Findlay Post Office as the Supervisor of Postal Relations. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church and the National Association of Letter Carriers. Dick and Diane wintered in Arizona for 20 years. He was a devoted Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed playing pinochle with the Monday afternoon group.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington. Burial will follow in Houcktown Cemetery, Houcktown.
