ARLINGTON — Phyllis A. (Palmerton) Poe, 85, of Jenera, Ohio, peacefully passed away early Wednesday morning, June 13, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Arlington. She was born July 4, 1932 in North Baltimore, Ohio to the late Henry and Eva (Wymer) Palmerton. Phyllis was united in marriage to her beloved husband, John E. Poe, on August 21, 1954 and he preceded her in death in 2014.

In 1968, Phyllis held the President seat of URW Local 480 at Norbalt Rubber in North Baltimore and in 1970, she was President of the Ladies Aux. #2633 also in North Baltimore. She held Secretary of the Tops Club #38 in Findlay. In 1990, Phyllis held Secretary of the Happy Friends Club and was also a member of the American Legion Club Post #3, the DAV Aux. #43, and the Amvets #21, all of Findlay. She was also a member of Connections Church in Findlay.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, John E. (Christine) Poe, Jr. and Jackie E. (Vickie) Poe both of Jenera, Ohio; daughter, Sallie M. (Poe) Bolin of Fostoria, Ohio; 10 beloved grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Charles Brown of Chicago, Illinois. Phyllis was preceded in death by a son, James E. Poe; brothers, Carl, Bill, and Robert Palmerton; and sisters, Verna Russell, Helen Rea, Emma DeFrank, and Frances Fackler.

Friends and family may visit on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 5:00 “” 8:00 P.M. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). The funeral service for Phyllis will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, June 16th in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
