RAWSON — Connie Jean Ish, 71, of Rawson, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. She was born on August 3, 1947 in Findlay to the late Eugene and JoAnn (Blakley) Huether. She married Troy R. Ish and they divorced and he preceded her in death in December of 2009. Connie is survived by her son, Russell (Carol) Ish of Lima, daughter, Heidi Miller of Rawson, four grandchildren: Leanna (Jason), Kenny (Dawn), Mattie and Joseph, and three great-grandchildren: Mason, Lexi and Kenny, Jr. She is also survived by her brothers: Jim (Deb) Huether, Joe (Theresa) Huether, Danny Huether, Butch Huether and David Blakley, sisters: Jackie Huether, Rita Huether, Jan Ickes and Brenda Gallagher. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Blakley and her sister, Ruth Ann Barringer. Connie retired from Blanchard Valley Industries. She coached the Special Olympics swim team for many years. She was a member of the American Red Cross. Connie enjoyed swimming, fishing, cross stitching and sewing. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the Indians, The Ohio State Buckeyes and Jeff Gordon. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME and burial will follow in Benton Ridge Cemetery.
