Margaret A. Clagg, 77, of Fostoria, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital.

She was born June 2, 1942, in Fostoria, to Arthur “Art” Willard and Ada Belle (Crowell) Brant. She married Jack L. Clagg on January 6, 1961, in Decatur, Indiana, and he survives her in Fostoria.

Also surviving are three sons, Richard (Debra) Clagg, of North Baltimore, Randolph (Velma) Clagg, of Findlay, and Steven (April) Clagg, of Fostoria; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three brothers, James Brant, of McComb, Michael Brant, of Arlington, OH, and William “John” (Susan) Brant, of Vanlue.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ada.

Margaret attended Fostoria High School through her junior year, and graduated from Findlay High School in 1960.

She formerly worked at Elder Beerman in Findlay as a sales clerk for many years. Upon retiring, Margaret loved to shop, travel, and ride in the “Jack mobile” and go fishing. She also enjoyed bowling until the time when she beat her husband Jack and that was when the bowling ball got put away!

Her husband and her family were the most significant aspects of her life; she was the “ideal wife.”

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at MANN-HARE-HOENING Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria.

Funeral services will begin in the funeral home immediately following at 1:30 p.m., Larry Hatfield, presiding. Committal services and burial will follow in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
