RAWSON — John R. Bormuth, age 60, of rural Rawson, died at 10:32 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born on November 29, 1958, in Bluffton, Ohio, to the late Herbert and Ruth Ann (vonStein) Bormuth.
He married Lena J. Shindeldecker on June 12, 1982, and she survives. Also surviving is a son: Andrew W. (Olga) Bormuth of Findlay and daughter: Allison (Preston) Morrison of Findlay; grandson: Maxwell Morrison; and sister: Mary Ann (Clair) Gallant of Orange Twp., Hancock County. Preceding him in death were two brothers: Paul D. and David O. Bormuth.
John was a precision agriculture specialist for Legacy Coop. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jenera. He enjoyed gardening, military history, tractors and spending time with his grandson.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Arlington. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jenera, with visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
