Ashley Davis of Upper Sandusky tees off while playing “foot golf” Thursday with Ryan Loverich at Shady Grove Golf Course in Findlay. Billed as a combination of soccer and golf, foot golf is a game in which players kick a regulation soccer ball along the fairways toward a non-regulation cup — 21 inches in diameter, to be exact — that is cut somewhere off to the side of a traditional golf putting green. The game started in Europe and was introduced into the U.S. around 2012. Shady Grove still offers its regular nine-hole golf course, too. (Photo by Randy Roberts)
