Police Department

The following incidents were reported Monday:

A person was taken into custody in the 200 block of North Main Street.

A relative was given a warning after a neighbor complained about a child setting off fireworks at 341 Mona Lane. The child was told to stop.

A rape that occurred Saturday in Findlay was reported Monday.

The theft of various items was reported from an apartment at 806 Bright Road.

About $170-$180 in cash was stolen from 1715 East-View Drive.

Illegal dumping of trash was reported at 701 Lesa Ave. Upon checking the area, police located nothing.

A third party reported a domestic dispute at a Garfield Avenue residence.

Sheriff’s Office

The following incidents were reported Monday:

A tractor-trailer with Texas license plate became stuck in the yard at 15900 Hancock County 172 and then drove through a field at the location.

A disabled vehicle was reported in the middle of Hancock County 172, west of Hancock County 8. The vehicle, which had “lost its steering” was eventually moved from the road.

A ladder was reported as a road hazard in the 6100 block of U.S. 224. It was located and moved from stones onto nearby grass.

Illegal dumping of three full trash bags was reported on Township Road 79 at Township Road 60

Harassment was reported by a male on Township Road 52, Bluffton, who requested a female, who has been texting and calling him excessively, stop the contact.

A man requested a deputy stand by while he gathered his belongings from a Hancock County 9 residence.

Two road signs were damaged in the 17500 block of Hancock County 7, east of Ohio 568. The incident happened when the driver of the Dodge Durango missed the curve. The driver was eventually stopped and cited. The county maintenance garage was contacted about the signs.

A domestic dispute was reported on Cunningham Drive and a female neighbor was issued a verbal trespass warning.
