Locos top Sluggers in season opener

LIMA LOCOS 10SLUGGERS 6FINDLAY --A seventh-inning miracle helped the Lima Locos spoil the Flag City Sluggers' opening day on Friday, as the Locos won 10-6 on the road. Down 3-2 in the top of the seventh, the Locos were facing two outs, but had the bases loaded. Outfielder Avery Wilson, a freshman from Kennesaw State University, drilled a home run to the right side, batting in four and cementing a Locos lead. The Locos weren't done however, scoring three more runs in the top of the ninth. Infielder Cameron Greene led the Locos with two runs scored. Jimmy Dionne hit a double and a single, batting in two runs. The Sluggers got things started early, as both infielder Miles Mitchell and catcher Ty O'Brien each notched a run in the bottom of the first. Mickey Anderson was the Sluggers' top hitter, driving in three runs on a double and a single. Timothy Leark hit a triple and a single, going 2-of-3 at the plate.
