Service league celebrates 50 years

FINDLAY — The Findlay Service League (FSL) opened its 2026 - 2027 service year on Aug. 20, marking 50 years of community impact. Since its founding by eight women in 1976, FSL has dedicated five decades to addressing local needs. In the most recent 2025 - 2026 year, members volunteered over 1,434 hours and returned $38,900 to the community. To carry this legacy forward, FSL invites women to join the next chapter of service. While the initial meeting was held in August, prospective members can still attend upcoming provisional meetings: • Sept. 17 at 6 p.m.• Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. (Membership commitments for the year are due at this meeting) Both meetings take place at Blanchard Valley Center, 1700 E. Sandusky St. Attendees can meet current members and learn about FSL's work before the general meeting at 7 p.m. No prior connection to a member is required.
