$5,000 donated to YMCA's Feed-A-Child Program

FINDLAY — AEP Ohio has has donated $5,000 toward the Findlay Family YMCA's Feed-A-Child (FAC) program, which provides free weekend meals to Findlay and Hancock County elementary school students. "AEP Ohio is proud to support the Findlay Family YMCA's Feed-A-Child program through the AEP Ohio Foundation. We know how important it is for children to have access to nutritious meals, and we're grateful to help a program that brings comfort, care, and hope to local families when they need it most," said Stacy M. Agler, AEP Ohio Business Services Account Manager. "We're deeply grateful to AEP Ohio for their generous gift to help many of our youngest residents stay nourished on weekends during the school year and during the summer," said Findlay Family YMCA CEO Stephanie Parsons. "This investment reflects AEP Ohio's commitment to strengthening the communities it serves. Because of partners like AEP Ohio, we can provide healthy meals, hope, and peace of mind to the youngest family members throughout Hancock County through our Feed-A-Child program. Their generosity is making a meaningful difference in local children's lives," Parsons said. In 2025, FAC provided 179,221 easy-to-prepare meals. The need is growing, as evidenced by the increase from the previous year, when 117,192 meals were handed out. Tf you would like to help the Y's Feed-A-Child program, there are multiple ways to offer support: • Periodic volunteer opportunities are available when people are needed to pack the food. These one-day packing events, which often happen in shifts at an Ohio Logistics warehouse, are publicized in advance, with a signup link, on the Y's social media channels. The events offer an easy and meaningful way to help the region's youngest residents. • Occasional FAC food drives are held by the organization itself and by others. You can donate to those or host one yourself by contacting the FAC coordinator. • Give to the Y's Annual Campaign, which helps to fund FAC. Designate your contribution to go to the program.
