Police: Woman charged with OVI had child in car

SANDUSKY — Police said a Huron woman allegedly drove while intoxicated with a young child in her car Wednesday.Officers charged Brooke Bodi, 26, of the 900 block of Strowbridge Drive, with misdemeanor operating a vehicle under the influence, child endangering and a red light violation.Sandusky police pulled over a 2007 Pontiac on at Tyler Street and Hayes Avenue at about 10:10 p.m. after it allegedly drove through a red light, according to a Sandusky police report.Officers spoke with the driver, identified as Bodi, who told police she had two drinks after she got out of work that evening, the report states.Police said there was a small child sitting in a booster seat in the back seat of the vehicle, according to the report.Bodi allegedly could not complete several field sobriety tests, and an officer arrested her and brought her to the Sandusky police station, the report states.She took a breath test, which yielded a .14 blood-alcohol content result, according to the report. The legal limit in Ohio is .08.Police cited Bodi and released her and the child to a sober person, the report states.
