Jorgina Smith

Jorgina Smith, 59, of Findlay OH, passed away on June 11, 2020. She was born March 8, 1961 in Corona, CA to the late Charles Smith and Sue Hadley. Jorgina is preceded in death by step mother, Rita Smith. She married, Tom Smith on May 25, 2013 and he survives. Also surviving, daughter Cookie Ferrell (fiancé Thomas Brickner) of Findlay, OH. Step daughters Nicole Smith (fiance Scot Runion) of Findlay, OH and Heather Smith of Bowling Green KY., along with three grandchildren, Hunter, Hallie, and Houston. Jorgina is survived by four brothers, Samuel Smith of Glasglow, KY, Melvin Smith of Summerset, KY, Chuck Smith of Summerset KY, and John Welther of St. Louis, MI., sister Terry McClellan of Long Beach, CA, sister in law Sandy Alacia (Howard Barnett) of Findlay, OH and brothers in law, Ed Smith (Sandy Crafton), Chris (Bobbie) Smith and Gary Elkin, all of Findlay, OH. Jorgina was employed by WalMart as a stock clerk for 11 years. She was active in the VFW Auxiliary Post #5645 and an avid volunteer at 50 North. Jorgina enjoyed reading her bible, attending Christian music and country music concerts, was a Buckeye and Cincinnati Reds fan, collecting all things ducks, and she loved her dogs. Jorgina was most known for giving a helping hand and having an open heart. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Findlay Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Dewey Harris presiding. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 am until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to Teddy's Rescue, Hancock County Humane Society, or Cancer Patient Services.
