3 Findlay teens hurt in Ohio 568 accident

VANLUE — Three Findlay teenagers were injured in a single-car accident on Ohio 568, north of Vanlue in Biglick Township, on Wednesday evening. According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, Rebecca Matthews, 19, was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound on Ohio 568, west of County Road 330, at the time of 7:08 p.m. accident. She lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the south edge of the road, where the car rolled several times. Matthews and one of her passengers, 17-year-old Jordan Mitchell, were both ejected. A third passenger, Heather Farren, 16, was also in the vehicle, but was not ejected. Deputies said none of the occupants were wearing safety belts at the time of the crash. Matthews was taken to Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo by Life Flight. Mitchell and Farren were both transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco EMS. Mitchell was later transported to Toledo Children's Hospital by ProMedica Air Life Flight. The severity of injuries of all of the passengers was unknown at the time of the press release. The crash remains under investigation and no citation has been issued at this time. Assisting at the scene were Vanlue Fire, Hanco EMS and Mercy Health Life Flight.
