Four people injured in Findlay accident

Four people, including an 8-year-old girl, were transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital after an accident at the intersection of South Blanchard Street and East Main Cross Street Wednesday at 2:13 p.m., according to a release by the Findlay Police Department. According to the release, Donald Dejean, 67, of Nevada, was traveling south on South Blanchard Street in a 2005 Buick Rendezvous with passengers Myrtle Dejean, 60, and Carleigh Beidelchies, 8. Sanet Duplessis, 53, of Findlay, was traveling east on East Main Cross Street in a 2019 Hyundai Veloster with passenger Emily Duplessis, 18. Dejean ran a red light at the intersection and struck the vehicle drive by Deuplessis. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage, according to the release. Myrtle Dejean, Beidelchies, Sanet and Emily Duplessis were all transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Dejean was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device, according to police. Assisting at the scene were the Findlay Fire Department and Hanco EMS.
