2 LifeFlighted after crash

ARCADIA — Two people were taken by medical helicopter to a Toledo hospital following a two-vehicle accident early Tuesday afternoon at a rural intersection west of Arcadia, according to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office reported that Kevin Bibbs Jr., 28, of Fostoria, was driving a 2017 Hyundai Accent north on Cass Township 243 when he failed to yield at the intersection with Hancock County 216 at 12:54 p.m. and collided with a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by Christopher R. Knisely, 65, of Fostoria, which was westbound on the county road. Following impact both vehicles came to rest on the northwest corner of the intersection, with the Bibbs' vehicle pinned between the pickup truck and a utility pole. Bibbs and a passenger in his vehicle, Chloe A. Decker, 24, of Findlay, were extricated from the vehicle by the Washington Township Fire Department with a jaws of life apparatus. Both were taken by helicopter to Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. Knisely was taken by Fostoria EMS to Promedica Fostoria Community Hospital. The accident remains under investigation.
