Findlay woman treated for minor injuries after accident

A Findlay woman was injured in a Saturday morning accident at the intersection of Tiffin Avenue and Bright Road, according to a Findlay Police Department report. According to the report, Lois E. Teatsorth, 86, of Findlay, was stopped on Tiffin Avenue at the Bright Road intersection in a 2000 Buick Century, facing east while waiting in the left turn lane to head north on Bright road. Tyler C. Shaner, 29, of Bowling Green, was traveling west in a 2019 Ford F-650 on Tiffin Avenue in the curb lane. Shaner approached the intersection at Bright Road and entered into the intersection while the traffic light was green. The light changed to yellow while Shaner was in the intersection, according to police. Teatsorth made a left turn toward Bright Road while Shaner was passing through the intersection and struck the center front of the Ford F-650, according to the release. Both vehicles sustained disabling front end damage. Teatsorth was cited for failure to yield during a left turn, according to the report. She was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco EMS for suspected minor injuries. Assisting at the scene were the Findlay Fire Department, Ed's Towing and BG Towing.
