Craft kits available for December

BLUFFTON — A series of take and make events will be held in December through the Bluffton Public Library. Holiday ornament kits can be requested starting Tuesday. The kits include natural wooden disc slices, examples/practice worksheets and jute string. You provide the rest. A paper snowflake take and make kit will be available starting Dec. 7. Request a kit or create your own masterpiece at home, then decorate the windows of your house. Snowflakes may also be placed in the book drop and will be used to decorate the library. Pick up a Charlie Brown holiday activity kit Dec. 17-19. The kit contains a magnet craft and fun activities for home. Kits are available via curbside pickup, and activities are geared toward children and tweens. Mai Hirashita, Japanese outreach initiative coordinator for Bowling Green State University, will lead a live teaching session of origami at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15 via Zoom. The program is open to all ages. Receive an origami paper take and make kit through curbside pickup starting Dec 8. Email psc@blufftonpubliclibrary.org to register and receive the Zoom link. Paint by Sticker Masterpieces kits will be available at the library starting Dec. 14 while supplies last. Each kit consists of one art page and correlating stickers. Call or visit the library's website to request a kit. The event is open to adults and teens.
