State-ranked Notre Dame tops Trojans

State-ranked and Three Rivers Athletic Conference power Toledo Notre Dame lived to its reputation by rolling to a 54-29 win over Findlay in a league contest at the FHS Gymnasium on Saturday. Junior Grace VanSlooten, one of the top-ranked players in the state, and Aly Ray scored 14 points each and Olivia Sims had 12. Notre Dame, 8-1 overall, 3-0 in the TRAC and ranked No. 4 among Ohio's Division I girls teams, led 16-6 in the first quarter and 34-13 at the half. Bri Nichols led Findlay (9-9) with 12 points. Kaylee Brodine and Olivia Mangas had five points and six points each.
