Grob taking applications for apprenticeships

BLUFFTON — GROB Systems, in Bluffton, is taking applications for up to 30 new apprenticeship positions with the company. The application deadline for GROB's 2021 class is March 31, 2021. Those interested can learn more and apply online at www.joingrob.com/apprentice. The apprenticeship program, in its 30th year, helps build the company's future workforce with employees who are trained in a highly technical way that matches the growing needs of GROB's customers and products. To date, GROB Bluffton has hired and trained over 375 apprentices through its program. During the four-year program, apprentices receive on-the-job training at GROB while earning a company-paid associate's degree in engineering technology through Rhodes State College. Apprentices earn while they learn and receive their hourly rate even while attending classes at Rhodes. At GROB, apprentices train in the company's apprenticeship labs and work alongside experienced workers in the manufacturing and assembly areas to further develop their technical skills. The combination of GROB training and the Rhodes degree prepares apprentices to become highly-skilled technicians in various mechanical and electrical departments throughout the company's facility.
