Tiffin Metal Products announces expansion

Last week, Tiffin Metal Products announced an upcoming expansion of its Tiffin manufacturing facility. The 74,000 square foot expansion will extend warehouse space, as well as space for shipping and receiving. Construction on the expansion is expected to begin in May, and will be complete by early fall. It will increase the overall space of the TMP campus by almost 50%, as the current layout includes 140,000 square feet of buildings. TMP has been in Tiffin for well over a century; it was created in 1903 as the Tiffin Art Metal Company. Today, the company employs about 140 people. Nick Dutro, Economic Development Manager for the Tiffin Seneca Economic Partnership, said he was proud to have worked with TMP as they continue to grow. "Congratulations to Tiffin Metal Products on their announced expansion of the plant and continued investment in Seneca County," he said. Tiffin Metal Products declined to comment on the expansion.
