Michigan man charged for receiving stolen property

A Michigan man faces charges of receiving stolen property and failing to comply with an order from an officer in indictments issued by a Hancock County grand jury this week Joshua A. Sweatt, 31, of Jackson, Michigan, was charged with failure to comply with an order or signal from an officer, a third-degree felony; and receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on March 28 in Union Township. Sweatt was allegedly found in possession of a maroon 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck, registered to Tonya Blair, and operated a motor vehicle in a way to flee from an officer signaling for him to stop. In other indictments issued this week: Cody M. Flick, 32, of Lima, was charged with a third-degree felony count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them. Jamin L. Livingston, 38, of Kettering, was charged with a third-degree felony count of possession of marijuana. Warren W. Henderson, 36, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, was charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. The property alleged to have been involved was a 2011 Chevrolet pickup. Ibrahim Abdul, 22, of Hamtramck, Michigan, was charged with counterfeiting, a fourth-degree felony; and possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony. The criminal tool allegedly involved was a credit card reader. Frank Ballard-Witherspoon, 27, of Louisville, Kentucky, was charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. Trask T. Moreland Jr., 36, of Dayton, was charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. Mica F. Closson, 33, of Delphos, was charged with harassment with a bodily substance, a fifth-degree felony. The indictment alleges that Closson caused a Findlay police officer to come into contact with blood, semen, urine, feces or another bodily substance by expelling the substance upon the officer. Selena M. Ballard, 59, of an unknown address, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property, both fifth-degree felonies. Michael M. Holbrook, 38, of 131 Monroe Ave., was charged with possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. Brittani L. Boggs, 31, of 529 S. Main St., was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Maurice D. Bates, 33, of Columbus, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Jesse D. Garrett, 33, of Detroit, was charged with a fifth-degree felony count of possession of marijuana. Dylan K. Cash, 20, of Detroit, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Nick L. Brown, 56, of Mansfield, was charged with breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony. Steven P. Kerney, 22, of Galesburg, Michigan, was charged with receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony.
