UF plans Asian hate awareness program

A program to build awareness, "United We Stand: Fight against hate crimes toward Asian Communities," is open to area residents from 6-7 p.m. today via Zoom. Organized by students and faculty of the Japanese Program at The University of Findlay, the event will include three speakers from Columbus who are U.S. citizens of Asian American descent. A question-answer session will follow. University President Katherine Fell will make opening remarks. "We want to use this as a starting point to engage ourselves in dialogue," said Hiroaki Kawamura, director of Modern Languages at University of Findlay.
