Trojan tennis improves to 10-0

ASHLAND – Findlay's four wins all came in straight sets and the Trojans' boys tennis team ran its unbeaten record to 10-0 on Friday with a 4-1 nonleague win over Ashland. Max Hosey and Austin Asada dominated their singles matches, Hosey beating Ashland's Ryan Frazee 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and Asada (No. 2) posting a 6-2, 6-1 decision over Cooper Glazier. In a pair of mirror-image doubles sweeps, Mac Robertson and Arda Dastan (No. 1) topped Ashland's Parker Harris and Seth Karnosh, and Nick Simmermeyer and Carson Dale (No. 2) beat Caeden Blough and Reid Wash by identical 6-1, 6-1 scores. Ashland's win came at No. 3 singles where Ben Sinchok outlasted Findlay's Parker Stocker 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. (14-sub head) HCHF Golf Outing The annual Hancock Sports Hall of Fame golf outing will be held Friday, June 25 at Hillcrest Golf Club. Proceeds from the four-person scramble event benefit the Hancock Sports Hall of Fame, which has recognized many of Hancock County's outstanding athletes, coaches, administrators and deserving contributors since its inception in 1985. Entry fee is $75 per player ($300 per team) and includes round of golf, cart, Italian sausage and pulled pork meal and entry into a number of skill competitions and prize events.
