Jay Wilson

Jay Wilson, age 77, of Findlay, died at 2:51 a.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. He was born in Findlay, Ohio, on September 26, 1943, to the late Joy and Helen (Motter) Wilson Sr. He married Sharon "Jo" Shriver on December 23, 1961, and she preceded him in death on November 15, 2014. He is survived by his son, James Wilson; and daughter, Joy Lynn Wilson, both of Findlay; significant other: Darlene Buck; grandchildren: Alexis (Andrew) Leddy and their children: Owen and Evan Leddy, Jason Lee (Kristina) Schnehl and their children: Braylon and Jayden Schnehl, Chandler (fiancee, Reid Sullivan) Akin and Grant Akin. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Wilson and sister Marie Edinger. Jay had worked for DuPont and retired from Remington Arms. He was very musically talented, being able to play almost every instrument. He was a talented singer, having made several CDs. He gave guitar lessons and wrote many of his own songs. He was a handyman, being able to fix almost anything around the house and was an adept gardener. He loved to dance and enjoyed boating on Lake Erie. Visitation will be held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay. A private funeral service will be held for the family with Pastor Fritz Below officiating.
