Deputies seek ID of driver involved in hit-skip

Two Pandora residents were injured Thursday afternoon when another vehicle hit their car and then left the scene of the accident. According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, Susan Reynolds and a passenger in her 2019 Kia Rio, Michele Reynolds, both sustained minor injures in the 2:18 p.m. accident. They were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco EMS. Deputies reported that Reynolds was in the parking lot of Verhoff's Carpet Mart at 1311 W. Trenton Ave. when someone in a red four-door truck hit her car and then left. Through investigation, it was learned that the hit-skip vehicle was likely an early 2000s bright red Ford four-door truck with a chrome toolbox and chrome running boards. The driver was described as a white male, possibly in his early 20s. The truck should have front-end damage. The sheriff's office is asking for assistance in identifying the truck and driver. Anyone with information is asked to contact the office. Also assisting at the scene were members of the Liberty Township Fire Department and Dick's Towing.
