FOSTORIA — A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Bellow "Bob" Schneider, 76, of Fostoria, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, with military honors provided by the Fostoria United Veterans. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Hoening & Son Funeral Home, Fostoria. Mr. Schneider died at 7:02 a.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021, at his residence. He married Geraldine "Geri" Chaney, and she survives. Also surviving are seven children, Robert Bellow (Diane) IV, John Wakonda, Monica Wambli Schneider and Kateri Tekakwitha Schneider, all of Fostoria, Mwavita Helona Schneider of Florida, Maisha Orenda Schneider of North Carolina and Joseph Wapia Schneider of Tiffin; four brothers, Roger (Dodie) Schneider of Michigan, Ronald (Marsha) Schneider of Florida, Raleigh (Cindy) Schneider and Raymond Schneider, both of Toledo; and two sisters, Yvonne (Gary) Jones of Holland and Rita (Kenneth) Ptaszynski of Texas. Mr. Schneider served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Memorials may be made to the church or to Mercy Health — Children's Hospital.
