FHS distinguished alumni award presented

The 23rd annual Findlay High School's distinguished alumni award for 2021 was presented Wednesday to Krista Crates-Miller, Findlay City Schools' assistant superintendent. Born and raised in Findlay, Crates-Miller is a 1987 FHS graduate. She earned a bachelor's degree in communications and public relations, a master's degree in education and a master's degree in the art of teaching. She began her career at Lincoln Elementary and has since taught at multiple schools and grade levels. Crates-Miller entered administration when she became principal at Jefferson Primary School, which she also attended as a student. She also served as principal of Jacobs Elementary School and Glenwood Middle School prior to assuming her current position. The award was presented by Barbara Logsdon, vice president of the Findlay High School Alumni Association. Crates-Miller also received a proclamation signed by Findlay Mayor Christina Muryn, declaring July 21 as "Krista Miller Day."
