Roads closed for resurfacing

County Road 156, from Ohio 37 to County Road 157, east of Mount Blanchard, will be closed for resurfacing today, according to Hancock County Engineer Douglas Cade. The project is part of a $1.839 million joint paving project involving Pleasant, Allen, Washington, Marion, Biglick, Eagle, Jackson and Madison townships, the village of Vanlue, and the Hancock County Engineer's Office, utilizing local gas tax and license fees. On Thursday, Township Road 125, from Township Road 82 to County Road 86, north of Benton Ridge, will be closed for resurfacing. On Friday and Saturday, County Road 60, between County roads 24 and 26, north of Jenera, will be closed for resurfacing. These two projects are part of a $1.446 million joint paving project involving Allen, Blanchard, Biglick, Eagle, Liberty, Marion, Pleasant townships and the County Engineer's Office, utilizing Ohio Public Works Commission grant funds, local gas tax and license fees. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and to exercise caution when traveling through these areas. All work is weather dependent.
