Leipsic makes quick work of Arcadia

ARCADIA —Peyton Heitmeyer and Marissa Hermiller pounded seven kills each, Alivia Jones had six and Kasey Brough added five kills and two blocks as Leipsic used strong play at the at the net to power past Arcadia 25-11, 25-8, 25-15 in a nonleague volleyball match between the former Blanchard Valley Conference foes.Jones was 19 of 21 spiking and Heitmeyer was a perfect 16 for 16. Hermiller had five aces, Serenity Siefer had 23 assists and three aces, and Jones chipped in with two aces. The Vikings, who went 22-4 last season before falling to eventual state champion Tiffin Calvert in the 2020 regional finals, improved their record this season to 4-0.Paige Massie had six of Arcadia's 14 team kills. Nevaeh Emerich had seven blocks, Erika Massie and Paige Massie five each and Breanna Chambers (10 assists) four.
