Mount Blanchard hosts community party

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Mount Blanchard Heart and Soul, in partnership with Mount Blanchard Village Council, will host a community party from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Island Park. The event will highlight accomplishments of the Heart and Soul program in the community and feature a town meeting to generate ideas for the future. It is open to all Mount Blanchard residents and those around the community who call the village home. Highlights for the day include free sandwiches from Kimmel's Mountain Man Meats food truck, ice cream sundaes from Cold Stone Creamery, cupcakes by Sweetie Pies and beverages. Free activities include bounce houses, bingo with cash prizes, and corn hole from 2-4 pm. There will be door prizes at 5 p.m. Mayor Cynthia Morrison will conduct a town meeting from 4-5 p.m. with plans to share strategic plans from village council members. There will be an opportunity to vote on projects residents would like to see happen in the village.
