Mornings with Mommy session begins Monday

JENERA — Mornings with Mommy, a program offering playtime and activities for children through age 6 and their parents, grandparents and nannies, will resume Monday and will continue on the first and third Mondays of each month, with encore sessions on the following Tuesdays. Sessions are held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St., Jenera. Space is limited, and advance registration is required at tlcjenera.org or by calling 419-326-4685. The cost is $5 per family (not per child), per session, payable via cash or check. Each session will offer age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartners. Each session will have its own theme, but the basic structure will be consistent and will include a devotion and language and literacy activities. Separate stations will be set up for each family with crafts, sensory bins and educational toys and activities. The schedule of dates and themes includes: Sept. 20-21: At the Farm; Oct 4-5: Raccoons, S'mores and Camping; Oct. 18-19: Things that Go; Nov. 1-2: Music and Instruments; Nov. 15-16: Fall Harvest Time; Dec. 6-7: Colors and Shapes; Dec. 20-21: Happy Birthday Jesus Party; Jan. 3-4: Moon, Stars and Night-Time; Jan. 17-18: Winter Days: Snowflakes, Hats and Mittens; Feb. 7-8: Red, Hearts and Valentine's Day; Feb. 21-22: Fun with Food; March 7-8: Bugs, Worms and Little Things; March 21-22: Frogs, Ducks and Pond Animals; April 4-5: Eggs and Easter-Jesus is Risen!; April 18-19: Dinosaurs; May 2-3: Flowers, Birds and Mother's Day; May 16-17: Under the Sea. Pre-school Playtime will be every second Monday of the month from 10-11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran School, 105 Allen St, Jenera. Children ages 5 and younger, along with their caregivers, can come to play in the gym with balls, ride-on toys, etc. This is a free program.
