Local man faces felony drug charge

A Findlay area man was indicted by a Hancock County grand jury this week with a first-degree felony drug charge. Thomas O. Wise, 29, of 11102 County Road 9, was charged with a first-degree felony count of possession of at least 100 grams fentanyl-related compound. The indictment includes a specification stating that the grand jurors found that Wise is a major drug offender. In other indictments issued this week: Mary Jo Gavigan, 21, of 510 W. Main Cross St., was charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony. Gavigan is alleged to have caused or attempted to cause harm to someone by means of a knife. Caleb M. Ragland, 27, of 341 Cherry St., was charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. Ragland is accused of removing or attempting to remove a gun from a Fostoria police officer. Christopher J. Sterling, 43, of 10311 Township Road 107, was charged with a second-degree felony count of robbery. The indictment alleges that Sterling in attempting or committing a theft threatened to inflict harm on a male. D. Jackson Howell, 21, of 820 W. Bigelow Ave. #72, was charged with a second-degree felony count of burglary. Howell is alleged to have trespassed a Washington Avenue residence with intent to commit theft when someone else was present or likely to be present in the residence. Gary L. Angell, 28, of an unknown address, was charged with burglary, a second-degree felony. Angell is accused of trespassing by force, stealth or deception a Hancock Street residence with intent to commit a theft when the resident was home. Damion A. Adkisson, 37, of Flint, Michigan, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. Michael A. Lively, 65, of Whitwell, Tennessee, was charged with possession of marijuana, a third-degree felony. Justin M. Girdler, 32, of 200 Santee Ave., was charged with having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony; and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. In the weapons charge, Girdler, who was convicted of aggravated trafficking in drugs in 2019, is accused of having a handgun without first obtaining court permission. Shannon R. Hayter, 41, of Ada, was charged with possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fourth-degree felony; and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Charles F. Lambert Jr., 35, of 251 N. Lawn Ave., was charged with possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fourth-degree felony; and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Ana M. Hernandez, 27, of 225 George St., was charged with two counts of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, one a third-degree felony and the other a fourth-degree felony count. Marcus Craig-Jackson, 22, of Jackson, Michigan, was charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. Zachary M. Ward, 29, of 228 Edith Ave., was charged with a fifth-degree felony count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound. Christian T. Kryling, 50, of Rawson, was charged with receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. Amber M. Cook, 35, of 611 G St., was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Zachary J. Altvater, 26, of 401 E. Hobart, was charged with possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony.
