Findlay schools to auction off Lincoln Elementary contents

Findlay City Schools will sell the contents of the now-closed Lincoln Elementary School during an auction on Oct. 23. According to a district notice, the auction will be held at 10 a.m. at the former school building, 200 W. Lincoln St. Among the items to be auctioned include a Ford 3910 tractor; a 250-gallon water tank; a utility stair climber with a 440-pound capacity; a Delfield double door 6051-S cooler; stage curtains; the original clock and bell of Central School; and other various kitchen and miscellaneous school items. On Feb. 22, the Findlay school board voted to close the elementary school at the end of the 2020-21 school year, dividing its students among three other district schools. The reorganization also saw preschool students from Washington Preschool moved to Jacobs Primary School and district administrative offices moved into the Washington Preschool building. The Lincoln Elementary School building will be sold. The auction is being coordinated by Walter Real Estate & Auctioneers.
