Findlay golfers seventh in district

LIMA – Findlay High's Nick Feighner fired a 77 on Wednesday and came within two strokes of advancing to state from the Division I district golf tournament held at the Shawnee Country Club in Lima.Anthony Wayne with a 311 and Ashland with a 314 were the two teams that qualified for state from the district. The top two individual scores from non-qualfying teams also advanced, with Lima Shawnee's Justin Altenbach (73) and Lexington's Troy Chapman (75) edging Perrysburg's Mason Deal and Feighner to land those spots. In addition to Feighner's 77, Zach Harris carded an 86 and Jack Metz and Sam Swisher had 87s for Findlay's 337 total. Payson Dotson had a 91. Findlay finished seventh in the team standings.
