Lawrence 'Larry' Shuck

Lawrence "Larry" Shuck, 59, of Arlington, Ohio, passed away on October 15, 2021, in Findlay, OH. He was born on April 4, 1962, in Findlay, Ohio, to David and Judy (Alge) Shuck. He met the love of his life Teresa, on a blind date, and they later married, on June 19, 1995. Larry is survived by his father David Shuck and by his children; Jenny (Jason) Hutton of Findlay, Daniel (Kaylee) Shuck of Findlay, Bryan (Jenna) Shuck of Findlay, Laura Shuck of Findlay, Joshua Light of Liberty Center, Cody (Abi) Light of Mt Blanchard and Morgan Light of Findlay. He is also survived by his brother Jim (Beckie) Shuck of Upper Sandusky and sisters; Patti (Tod) Vodicka of Columbus and Diane (Tom) Alspach of Jenera. Larry was blessed with his grandchildren Connor, Braxton, Gracyn, Kendra, Ayden, Xander, Oliver, Evan, Jace, Ella, Nora and Dempsey. Larry is preceded in death by his mother Judy Shuck. Larry graduated from Liberty Benton High School in 1980. He worked at Findlay International after high school. Then, Larry went to work at Performance Plus and later worked at Custom Engines before returning to the family business of Harold E. Shuck Inc. where he later became President. When Larry was not working, he enjoyed tinkering in his barn, watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, Steelers and Reds and restoring cars. He was a fur dad to Noah, Petals and ZuZu, as well. His children's most fond memories as kids were spending Sunday mornings at JC Lanes bowling together, as a family, and riding in the station wagon together when he would play the song Mr. Roboto on repeat. He also enjoyed boating and camping at the lake. Larry had a love for fabricating metal and one of the projects he was most proud of was the lighted helicopter that he made for his brother Jim. It can be seen at the Upper Christmas lights each year. Larry loved God, his wife and family above all. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorials be made to Teresa Shuck. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the funeral home.
