Bishop outspending Brown for judgeship

In the race for Findlay Municipal Court judge, Stephanie Bishop has been outspending Garth Brown, according to campaign finance reports filed Thursday. Bishop's campaign committee had spent $10,752, and reported $1,055 in in-kind contributions versus the Brown committee's $3,838 spent and $5,880 in in-kind contributions. On a campaign finance report, an in-kind contribution reflects money spent, though it was not spent by the campaign committee. Going into the final days before election day, Nov. 2, Bishop's campaign has a cash balance of $5,091, the committee reported Thursday to the Hancock County Board of Elections. Brown's committee has $4,441 cash remaining, it reported Thursday. Cash contributions to Bishop's campaign totaled $5,844, the campaign reported Thursday. Top contributions to Bishop's campaign were made by: • David and Marilyn Hackenberg, $1,000; Cheryl Buckland Manley, $600; Tom Roof, of Kenton, $500; Nancy Bishop, $350; David Devore, Amy Hackenberg, Kelli Hunt and Kraig Kutschbach, $300 each; Roger Bishop, Michael Tanner and Tracy McMath, $200 each; and Katrina Kramer, $180. • Contributions of $100 were made by Daniel Harmon, Pamela Butte, Bradley Wagner, Mary Elizabeth Hammond, Nancy Russo, Chuck Bills, Debra Kemp, Richard Zunkiewicz and Christine Vermillion. • Other cash contributors included Charles Klapper, $99; James Dick, Nicole Hinesman and James Potts, $75 each; Clifford Brown and William Johns, $50 each. • Bishop, in-kind contributions of magnets, candy and ice, together valued at $287; postage, vinyl, rubber bands and ice, together valued at $215; website, valued at $171. • Nancy Bishop made in-kind contributions of T-shirts, photos, backdrop and frame, water, flowers and plastic for tables and other supplies, together valued at $374.
