Duane Alex 'Dewey' Vaughan

Duane Alex "Dewey" Vaughan, 73 of Florida and formerly of Findlay passed away at Blanchard Valley Hospital on Thursday, October 21, 2021. He was born in Durango, CO on January 28, 1948 to the late Alex and Audrey (Frontz) Vaughan. He first married Debra Weaks in 1967 and they divorced in 1987. Duane married Janet (Butte) Hartman in December of 1989 and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Brian (Jill) Vaughan and Brent (Joleena) Vaughan; three stepsons, Russ (Dhana) Hartman, Rod (Jana) Hartman and Ryan (Regan) Hartman and a stepdaughter, Rachelle (Scott, deceased) Heidlebaugh; four grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren (one on the way) and four step-great-grandchildren. Duane retired from Atlas Crankshaft following 30 years of service. He was the flagman at Millstream Race Track, enjoyed bowling, played softball in various Findlay leagues and was currently on the board of directors at Skyway Village in FL. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home with Pastor Walt Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in Bishop Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, October, 25, 2021 and for one hour (12:00-1:00 p.m.) prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
