Findlay boys second at district | The Courier Seager paces FHS girlsFindlay's girls just missed out on a district title Saturday at Owens.Colette Seager ran in 20:01.3, placed third overall, and pushed the Trojans to a runner up finish in the team standings. By placing second, Findlay advances to next week's regional meet at Hedges-Boyer Park in Tiffin.Findlay was three points away from a team championship, finishing with 92 points. Only Toledo Notre Dame (90) was better.Karlee Dittman, who like Seager and all but one of Findlay's runners, is a senior, placed 14th, running in 20:36.55. Anne Traver finished in 22nd for the Trojans, crossing the line in 21:01.68, while Lindsey Cassata ran the course in 21:11.84 to take 23rd. FHS' Elizabeth Laird placed 28th, running in 21:23.95Fremont Ross' Evelyn Szymanowski won the individual championship, running in 19:26.96, almost 24 seconds better than any other runner.
